We built our first auger drilling rig in‑house, and it’s the unit that launched us into the drilling industry today. It has logged more than 6,000 hours and continues to complete daily boreholes on its original power platform. Because the entire system is enclosed within a cube truck, the rig has operated with exceptional reliability in Canadian climates. In over five years of continuous field use, we have never:
All of this performance remains under CDL (Commercial Driver's License) requirements, with a loaded weight of approximately 17-18 000 lbs.
This rig completes several thousand boreholes every year, and after half a decade of dependable service, we are now offering this trusted workhorse for resale.

The A.C. Rig delivers the flow and pressure required for high‑speed hydraulic surface coring and the torque needed for low-speed high torque augering, giving you fast, consistent production in the field. Its 14‑inch on‑center head slide allows you to core and auger in the same location without repositioning — simply complete your core, shift the head over, and begin augering. This saves time, reduces ground/road disturbance, and increases efficiency on every site. Every Driller knows the value of a wiggle tail (or head slide).

Hydraulic coring delivers steadier power and cleaner cuts than electric stand coring, especially when you’re working through pavement and the underlayments beneath it. The system maintains consistent torque, doesn’t stall as easily, and handles pressure and water flow with far more control, which leads to smoother, more reliable production.
It’s also a safer approach. Because the hydraulic power system and water system are built into the truck, operators don’t have to lift heavy machines in and out all day. That reduction in manual handling means fewer strains, fewer back injuries, and a much lower chance of dropped‑equipment incidents.
In the photo above, you can see a 3.3-foot core at 6 inches in diameter, which demonstrates the kind of clean, consistent results that hydraulic systems produce.

Protect your equipment and extend the life of every component. An enclosed truck‑mount design means your rig is never exposed to snow, rain, or freezing temperatures — no more brushing off equipment in the morning or dealing with weather‑related downtime. Every hydraulic line, control, and moving part stays clean, dry, and protected, dramatically increasing the lifespan of the entire drilling system.
An enclosed setup also improves operator comfort, reduces cold‑start strain on components, and keeps tooling organized and secure. The result is a cleaner work environment, fewer maintenance issues, and a rig that stays productive year‑round.

Its production rate consistently outperforms traditional setups by a factor of two to three, making it an easy choice for contractors who need efficiency, reliability, and clean results.
With pavement programs often representing a major portion of project scope, having a rig with this level of speed and consistency delivers a clear advantage on every job.

Your pavement drill isn’t just for asphalt — it becomes a real asset in geotechnical work, especially when you’re already on site for the pavement portion. Its compact footprint and fast setup make it ideal for tight urban or constrained locations, and the stable mast delivers dependable samples with minimal disturbance. For consultants who need accurate data without mobilizing a full‑size rig, this unit bridges the gap between pavement coring and true geo capability.

Environmental programs often run alongside pavement and geotechnical scopes, and this drill shines when all three are bundled into a single mobilization. When you’re already on site for pavements, the same compact setup can quickly transition into shallow environmental borings or monitoring well installs, keeping consultants efficient and budgets tight. It’s a practical way to cover multiple project requirements without bringing in a second rig or adding unnecessary mobilizations.
